| AIDII is a non-profit scientific organization founded in 1969.
The headquarters are located in Milan, Italy. In order to further promote the development of training as well as of the information activities, AIDII has created a peripheral organizational structure, constituted by four inter-regional sections, operating at a territorial level: “North-West (Piedmont, Liguria, Aosta Valley), “Triveneta (Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige), “Ter” (Emilia Romagna and Tuscany) and “Lamus” (Lazio, Abruzzo, Marche, Umbria and Sardinia), “South” (Campania, Basilicata, Molise, Apulia, Calabria and Sicily).
AIDII is headed by a Board of Directors, composed by 12 elected members and by a member by right (the Past-President). The Board stays in office for three years. Among the twelve elected members, the Board identifies its President, its Deputy President, its Secretary and its Treasurer.
The Board of Director is AIDII’s executive body. It disciplines and coordinates the activity according to the stance approved by the assembly, it prepares budgets and balances, it draws up the account of the activity that has been carried out and it establishes the programmatic guidelines that have to be submitted to the Members’ Meeting.
In order to become an AIDII member it is necessary to present a formal request to the Board of Directors. The AIDII’s members can belong to four different categories:
Ordinary Members and Associated Members, subscribers who receive the “Italian Iournal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene” and the annual edition of the TLV e IBE and who can enjoy discounts on all the AIDII’s initiatives (congresses, seminars, courses, etc.)
Company Associated Members, who enjoy the same privileges as the Ordinary Members, but also receive the updated address book of all the members. Furthermore, they can publish their trade name on the magazine and present illustrative material about their company at the national congress.
Sponsor Associated Members, who enjoy the same privileges as the Company Associated Members, but they also have an exhibition space at the national congress and can publish advertising insertions on each of the magazine’s issues.
